The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
